If you are looking for a super dynamic and systematic defense against White's first move, pawn to d4, then this is where you should stop. With this opening, you are going to force White to go back into the e4 lines, which he doesn't like.
The Czech Benoni is characterized by the moves; 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 c5 3. d5 e5... And oops, we get back to the e4 opening lines.
