My Chess Journey

My name is Kasuba Paul Mbulo, also known as KaspaMbulo. I'm a self-taught chess expert from the beautiful city of Lusaka, Zambia. As the former president of the Cavendish University Zambia Chess Club, I've dedicated my life to mastering and sharing the beautiful game of chess.

My competitive achievements speak to my dedication and skill. In 2016, I won two gold medals and had the honor of representing my country at the African Universities Chess Competitions in South Africa. With nearly 20 years of playing experience, 10 years of teaching, and active streaming since 2022, you have every reason to trust my chess teachings.

Perfect for You: My instruction is especially valuable if you're a player rated below 2100 (FIDE) or below 2400 on Lichess. I've designed my courses to help players at these levels break through rating barriers and develop a deeper understanding of the game.

I established KaspaChess to provide in-depth chess education for players of all skill levels, utilizing the best teaching approaches I developed during my tenure as chess president at Cavendish University Zambia. My goal is simple: to help you become a better player and fall even more in love with this incredible game.

My Chess Background, Education & Qualifications

A Personal Note

Due to my day job and academic obligations, I am no longer active in over-the-board (rated) chess competitions. For this reason, I chose to become a chess trainer and instructor to share my chess knowledge with fellow enthusiasts like you.

Nevertheless, I still aspire to become an active chess player once again and continue improving my FIDE rating. The good news is that I am in excellent chess form, remain active on Lichess, and am eager to assist you in improving your game.

Yours Sincerely,
Paul Kasuba Mbulo
